The full-day session will focus on issues relevant to elementary, middle, and high school librarians. | 2006 - 183 | The St. Joseph Township-Swearingen Memorial Library announces its Spring Used Book Sale to be held May 1-25, 2006. Paperbacks and magazines are 10¢, hardbacks are 25¢, and CDs and videos are $1. The library also has some old computer equipment priced really low. The sale will run during normal library hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 3-8 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Fridays, 1-7 p.m.; and Saturdays, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information, call 217-469-2159. |

| 2006 - 188 | On May 18, 2006, the Friends of Marshall Public Library and several other organizations will be dedicating a Literary Landmark plaque at the Marshall Visitor's Center to honor the Handy Writer's Colony where James Jones was nurtured as a writer and wrote Some Came Running.
