- The mission of the Piatt County Museum is to preserve
Piatt County heritage by deepening our knowledge of the past and
achieving public appreciation of the value history brings to our
lives. The historic University of Illinois beef barn is the property
of the Piatt County Museum and will become the new home of the
Museum, where the artifacts from the original three buildings will
be brought together, properly stored, and carefully prepared for
presentation. The new museum will serve as an educational center
for school children and adults as well.
