Now your library never closes! With the new MyMediaMall digital library, patrons can browse, checkout, and download digital Audiobooks, eVideos, and eBooks anytime of day from anywhere in the world. The new online service, available through a partnership with libraries from the Illinois Heartland Library System and the Reaching Across Illinois Library System, can be accessed at http://www.mymediamall.net.

With hundreds of exceptional titles to choose from, this online library collection is sure to have something that fits your tastes. From popular novels by Nora Roberts, Catherine Coulter, and Dean Koontz, to the classic works of Shakespeare, Dickens, Twain, and even Homer — our collection spans nearly every genre. The collection also includes children’s, educational titles, and a wide variety of non-fiction including business, history, self-help, and travel.

Getting started is easy.   Just visit the MyMediaMall Web site (http://www.mymediamall.net), install the free software from the Web site, browse the collection, and select the titles you want. When you’re ready, check out your materials by entering your LINC library barcode and pin number and download the digital materials to your home PC.

Once downloaded, transfer the files to your portable device, or burn the audio books directly to CD. When the lending period is up your digital books are automatically returned — so there are never any late fees!

Digital books and eVideos are compatible with most home computers. Download Audiobooks (digital versions of traditional audio books on tape or CD) and eVideos to enjoy on your PC or or various portable WMA/MP3 players. You can also burn Audiobooks to CD and listen to them in the car or on any standard CD player. eBooks (digital text based versions of a book) can be read on PCs, MACs, PDAs, and Smartphones. eVideos play on a variety of devices including Pocket PC's, Portable Media Centers, and devices running Windows Mobile 5.0.
