2005 - 125 MEDIA MALL LINK TO BE ADDED TO LINCPAC
On October 1, an additional tab will be added to all LINCPAC’s, pointing to the Media Mall web site (http://www.mymediamall.net). The tab will be called Media Mall. When patrons link to this site, they will be able to check out and download e-books and audiobooks, using their LINC barcode and pin number.

2005 - 126 MEDIA MALL WEB PUBLIC RELATIONS MATERIALS
We’ve posted two public relations products that LINC libraries can use to promote Media Mall--an editable poster and an editable bookmark. These products are available at http://www.ltls.org/MediaMall.html, under the section called Media Mall Public Relations. These products can be edited with your library name and printed out for your patrons. Be sure to include the url for Media Mall (http://www.mymediamall.net) when you print these. Also at this site is a sample press release and the Media Mall logo.

2005 - 127 MEDIA MALL DEMONSTRATIONS SCHEDULED
Two demonstrations of this new product have been scheduled. The demonstrations will cover how to place holds on an item and how to checkout and download the content. A brown bag luncheon demonstration will be held on October 20, 2005 from 12:15-1:45 p.m. (Note: October 20th is the date for the required LSTA grant workshop. There are two sessions for this grant workshop. The first session ends at 12:00 and the second session starts at 2:00. Either come early or stay late to watch the Media Mall demonstration!) The second demonstration will be held on October 26, 2005 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Handouts and materials will be available soon at http://www.ltls.org/MediaMall.html. We’ve begun posting questions to the Media Mall FAQ site (http://www.lincolntrail.info/ourfaqs/My_Media_Mall_1.html). If you have any questions about Media Mall, please submit your questions using the "Horizon Q & A Form" at this web site: http://www.lincolntrail.info/cgi-bin/faq.cgi?submit (select My Media Mall as the category).

LINC LISTSERV

At the September 21 LINC Directors Group, there was discussion on improving communications between LINC libraries. LTLS will be creating a LINC Listserv that all library staff will be able to use. Information on subscribing to this listserv will be posted in the next LINC Update.
