MEDIA MALL UPDATE

The vendor for Media Mall (Overdrive) has announced enhanced information about devices that will work with this product (for downloading audio books, music, and video).  This expanded information is available at this web page:
http://www.overdrive.com/deviceresourcecenter).

This site is intended to answer patron requests about what devices will work with the downloadable files on Media Mall.  At this site, there is a list of compatible devices as well as a list of those that are incompatible.  There is also functionality to allow users to test their devices for compatibility themselves.  This test allows users to download and transfer a small file to their device.  There is also an enhanced FAQ about individual devices at this site.

WEBREPORTER ACCESS LIMITED

Because of some ongoing issues with WebReporter, we are limiting access to this product.  Until further notice, WebReporter will not be available during the following timeframe:
Monday through Friday, from 10:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
(You will not be able to connect to WebReporter during this timeframe.)

In order to generate reports, we recommend you subscribe to reports and have them run early in the morning.  (The subscription option is a link underneath the name of the individual report.)  Then the reports will be available to you and won’t need to be processed during the day.

ASKAWAY VIRTUAL REFERENCE

The AskAway Virtual Reference service, providing 24x7 chat and email reference coverage, was officially "opened" on April 24.  Eight LINC libraries are currently participating in this Illinois/Wisconsin libraries cooperative project.  A link to the AskAway virtual reference service was added to all library LINCPacs and takes the place of the MyLibrarian link.

Please consider joining other libraries in this project.  If your library is interested in participating in the AskAway service, send an email to Pat Boze, pboze@lincolntrail.info.
