2005 - 059 ITYPE RECONFIGURATION MEETING ADDED

There has been an additional itype reconfiguration meeting added to the calendar. This is in addition to the meeting scheduled for April 29, 2:00-3:30 pm at Mattoon Public Library. This additional meeting is scheduled as follows:

Friday, May 6, 2:30 – 4:00 pm, Lincoln Trail Libraries System

Many of you have already attended one of these meetings. This meeting has been scheduled to accommodate those directors who could not make a previous meeting.

2005 - 060 SCHOOL LIBRARIES – SUMMER RECESS

Are you a school library that needs to turn off holds for the summer? If so, remember to notify us about important dates so we can change your settings in Horizon. Please send an email to Helen Neal, hneal@lincolntrail.info, with the following information:

-Date for "turning off" holds
-Date for "turning on" holds (if known)
-Date you want to use as a "fixed due date" (last day of school, etc.)
-Date you want the above "fixed due date" implemented

2005 - 061 SCHOOL CALENDAR UPDATES

If your library is closing for the entire summer, this should be reflected in your Horizon calendar. There are two ways to do this:

1. Enter each summer recess date you will be closed in Horizon>Calendar Exceptions. Unfortunately, you cannot enter a range of dates so you will need to enter each summer date individually. This can be done ahead of your closing date.
OR
2. Change the normal days you are open in your Horizon>Typical Library Week to indicate that you are not open any day of the week (take out the open/close times for Monday through Friday). This can only be done when you have actually closed the library. Also, this needs to be corrected when you come back in the fall and open the library.

2005 - 062 CONTINUOUS FORMFEED PAPER ORDER
LTLS has coordinated a formfeed paper order for several years. However, only 4 boxes were ordered this year (by 3 libraries). With Horizon, most libraries have moved to standard 8.5x11 paper to print notices. Because of this change, there is not enough quantity to warrant a group order. In the future, libraries that still need formfeed paper will need to be responsible for ordering it on their own.

2005 - 063 CREATING BORROWER LISTS IN WEBREPORTER

Several libraries have asked about printing lists of borrowers based on codes such as borrower stat classes, borrower loan types, and others. WebReporter has a report that can be used to create these lists.

Log in to WebReporter (http://caterpillar.lincolntrail.info/HorizonWebReporter/asp/), go to Shared Reports>Circulation>Borrower Reports and choose the report called ‘Borrowers by Expiration Date’. This report will let you choose a particular btype or bstat code and will then bring back a list of all the borrowers that belong to that code. You can use this list to either delete borrowers in Horizon or generate reports or statistics.

2005 - 064 LINC UPDATE QUIZ

Be the first person to correctly answer this question!

"Where do I go to find information about the status of LTLS online services?"

If you think you have the correct answer, email Amanda McKay.

Congratulations to Linda Davidson of Georgetown Public Library for correctly identifying that 9:00 a.m. is when Horizon went live.
