2005 - 037 CONGRATULATIONS!
Did you know that the numbers for items, bibs, and patrons in LINC continues to go up? We have reached the following milestones:
Total items - 2,019,035
Total bib records - 700,051
Total patron records – 222,364
Pat yourselves on the back for the work it took to reach these numbers! The LINC shared library collection is larger than the collection of the Toronto Public Library and its 96 branches and is similar in size to the Indianapolis-Marion County libraries shared catalog.

2005 - 038 E-BOOK/DOWNLOADABLE AUDIOBOOK COMMITTEE
As a result of the Overdrive demonstration on e-books and downloadable audio books on March 9, there is interest in further pursuing joint collection development in this area. If you are interested in helping with this project, please email Pat Boze.

2005 - 039 FORMFEED PAPER ORDER
An email has gone out to LINC building directors with an order form for formfeed notice paper. The order form is online at: http://www.ltls.org/NoticePaperForm.html . The deadline for submitting your order form is April 8, 2005.

2005 - 040 NETLIBRARY E-BOOKS
If your library was one of the original participants in the NetLibrary e-book cooperative purchase, you may want to review statistics on the use of these materials and weed your collection accordingly. Contact Joe Sciacca for a login/password to view use statistics for each title.

2005 - 041 HORIZON RESPONSE TIME TEST
We still need volunteers to help us test the response time of the Horizon software. If you are interested in helping us with this process, please send an email Rita Johnson.

2005 - 042 CORRECTED PROCEDURE FOR DELETING BIBS IN HORIZON
There is a minor correction to the batch item delete process explained in the last LINC Update. When deleting multiple barcodes through the this process, and when the batch item delete options window appears, make sure ‘delete bib’ is checked before deleting all records. DO NOT check ‘save deletions to discard table’. Checking the ‘save deletions to discard table’ box creates other problems and we have an additional method to recall discards, so this box should not be checked.
