DELIVERY
About IHLS Delivery
The Illinois Heartland Library System delivery service allows the general public to utilize the resources of all the libraries in the IHLS service area by transporting books, magazines, music, videos, and other library materials between the libraries using cargo vans. The distribution hub is located at Illinois Heartland's Champaign Office at 1704 W. Interstate Drive, Champaign, Illinois. Delivery is a free service provided by IHLS. It is available to all full member libraries in the system. [more]

Routes and Schedules
Libraries receive either scheduled or alternative delivery, depending on the volume of resource-sharing materials delivered in the past year. Check the route list to view the delivery sequence for each route. Weather, holidays and other factors can affect routes and schedules.

Request a Delivery
Alternative Delivery libraries may use this online form to request an IHLS delivery.

Cooperative Collections
Several libraries in the LTLS service area share rotating collections of large print, video and other materials. The delivery system assists in rotating these collections. [more]

Intersystem Library Delivery Service (ILDS)
The Intersystem Library Delivery Service (ILDS) connects all regional library systems in Illinois, the Illinois State Library, and many of the CARLI libraries (Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois--includes the University of Illinois, Eastern Illinois University, Parkland College, and Danville Area Community College).
