Mention collection development and most librarians think of the selection of new materials for the library. Weeding is an often forgotten, yet equally important part of maintaining a library collection. This workshop will describe the reasons, techniques, and benefits of weeding and will address the weeding of all types of library materials, including adult and children's collections and print and non-print materials.
Target Audience: Library staff responsible for collection development.
